Sentences, words, and characters in one pass
The counter splits on sentence-ending punctuation, then also reports word and character totals for the same paste. Abbreviations and decimal numbers can fool a naive splitter, so treat the sentence count as a close estimate rather than a courtroom metric.

What is not counted as a sentence

Does “Dr.” end a sentence?
A splitter may treat the period as a boundary. If titles inflate the count, glance at the output and adjust.
Are spaces included in the character count?
Yes—character totals usually include spaces and line breaks so they match typical CMS counters.
Can I count sentences in other languages?
Latin punctuation (./?/!) is the main cue. Languages that omit those marks will be under-counted.
